Our first big step however, was the acquisition of a rather Heath Robinson home-brew kit which we set up in a domestic kitchen in January 2008. To our surprise and delight, the resulting beer (our proto-type Blonde ale), turned out pretty damn good. And that was the start of what has been one hell of a brewing rollercoaster ride, which was all documented closely in a Channel 4 TV series "Neil's Risky Business".
After a good deal of sweat, tears, the occasional tantrum – and a little help from our friends, we’ve wound up with our very own micro-brewery. Essentially this is the Morrissey Fox beer lab, where we don white coats and make like mad beer professors. The finished article is then rolled into our adjacent cellar at our pub – Ye Olde Punch Bowl Inn at Marton cum Grafton where the locals give it a yay, or a nay. With the thumbs up, the top secret recipe goes off to our brewing partners who have the brewing kit to satisfy the thirst of the nation. There’s plenty more to come….Cheers!

Morrissey Fox and Comic Relief are working together for Red Nose Day 2009, which takes place on Friday 13 March. 7p per pint and 25p per bottle will be donated to Comic Relief between Thursday 29 January and Friday 13 March, helping to raise cash for people living unimaginably tough lives here in the UK and Africa.
